Nothing soothes the soul quite like brunch. This half-breakfast, half-lunch feast allows you to enjoy perfectly poached eggs, avocado toast, savory hashes, mimosas and more — all at the lazy hour of 11 a.m. (or later). Plus, it's the perfect excuse to catch up with friends and loved ones! We are surrounded by a number of top-notch restaurants in the Columbus area, so when the weekend comes around, there is no shortage of options! We rounded up 11 brunch destinations that should be on your Columbus bucket list. So dig in, because in our opinion, brunch is the most important meal of the week.

Copious

Facebook | 520 South High Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 10 a.m.-2 p.m. In case the name didn't give it away already, you can expect large portions at this Brewery District staple! Copious serves up dishes to feed the soul as well as the body — with options like hearty chicken and waffles with Fresno chili maple syrup, steak and eggs with béarnaise sauce, and hash with short rib, peppers and veggies. Get your dish with a side of white cheddar grits — you won't regret it.

The Guild House

Facebook | Instagram | 624 North High Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. If atmosphere is high on your priority list when selecting a brunch place, you won't want to overlook The Guild House. With wooden beams, colorful chandeliers, high ceilings and white leather booths, the space is nothing short of breathtaking. Of course, the food is the real star of the show. Come dig into flavorful brunch classics crafted with seasonal ingredients and served up with an inventive twist. If you're looking to indulge a bit, the lobster and eggs is spot on!

Katalina's

Facebook | Instagram | 1105 Pennsylvania Avenue, Columbus Brunch hours: Daily | 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

A post shared by Katalina's (@katalinascafe) on

Situated in Columbus' Short North neighborhood, Katalina's serves up inventive comfort food in colorful digs. The menu is "Latin-leaning and Southern-slanted," and each dish comes packed with flavor! Everything is fantastic, but make sure to grab an order of pancake balls to share with the table — they're worth the hype.

Lindey's

Facebook | Instagram | 169 East Beck Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Lindey's isn't just a favorite among Columbus residents, it's an institution. The iconic restaurant has served the German Village neighborhood for decades and features an idyllic patio alongside an epic menu. For brunch, you can taste dishes like crab cakes and hash browns topped with a fried egg and hollandaise, or the lemon ricotta pancakes with Ohio maple syrup.

Milestone 229

Facebook | 229 Civic Center Drive, Columbus Brunch hours: Sunday | 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Enjoy a flavorful brunch (and maybe a mimosa or two) while overlooking the fountain on the Scioto Mile. There's a reason that Milestone 229 snagged a spot on our list of Columbus' best restaurant patios, but there isn't a bad seat in the house. The brunch menu features mouthwatering options like breakfast nachos, beef brisket hash, bacon and egg pizza, and blueberry pound cake French toast.

Nada

Facebook | Instagram | 220 West Nationwide Boulevard Brunch hours: Weekends | 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

A post shared by Nada (@nadacolumbus) on

Tacos for breakfast? Why not? Nada serves up authentic Mexican street food in a bright, colorful and vibrant space. Stepping into the restaurant for brunch on the weekend is a wonderful way to start the day. Once you're settled at a table, you can order a sparkling breakfast cocktail and peruse the menu — featuring Mexican poutine, chorizo and egg enchiladas, scrumptious eggs Benedict and an impressive selection of street tacos!

Standard Hall

Facebook | Instagram | 1100 North High Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Bloody Mary aficionados shouldn't miss the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar at Standard Hall — the offerings are nothing short of epic! Pick your alcohol of choice and spice it up with your desired mix of traditional, spicy or signature tomatillo, a selection of house-blended rims, and a delicious spread of toppings. If you try hard enough, you might be able to make a meal of it! Of course, if your brunch bevvy doesn't fill you up, there are plenty of delicious menu offerings to satisfy a wide range of taste buds.

Skillet

Facebook | 410 Whittier Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Wednesday-Sunday | 8 a.m.-2 p.m. This brunch-centric eatery serves up seasonal, farm-to-table comfort food with inventive twists. The menu is ingredient-driven, which means that it changes from time to time to incorporate the best in-season flavors, but you'll always find a varied selection of pastries, egg dishes, grits, biscuits and hashes that will satisfy the soul.

The Table

Facebook | Instagram | 21 East Fifth Avenue, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

A post shared by The Table (@thetablecmh) on

Step into this cozy yet modern space to enjoy some of the best, locally sourced fare in the 614! The Table offers a wide variety of globally inspired dishes, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. We are particularly fond of the shakshuka, a North African-style dish with poached eggs in a spicy tomato sauce with charred veggies, feta, black olives and pita. And the Dutch Baby — a gigantic, fluffy, egg-based pancake dish — shouldn't be overlooked either!

The Whitney House

Facebook | Instagram | 666 High Street, Worthington Brunch hours: Weekends | 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The boozy breakfast cereals at The Whitney House are reason enough to make the short trek to Worthington for brunch. Fruit Loops, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp and Cocoa Puffs are all served alongside milk and a careful selection of complementary liqueurs that take your meal to the next level. Order one of these as an appetizer and explore the rest of the menu offerings, which include rustic and soul-warming dishes crafted from fresh and local ingredients.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing

Facebook | Instagram | 215 North 4th Street, Columbus Brunch hours: Weekends | 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Wolf's Ridge Brewing made our list of the best breweries in Columbus, but flavorful craft beer isn't the only thing this place does right. The brunch menu, featuring items like confetti doughnuts, beef tartare, poutine, tartines and Benedicts, is on point as well. We are fans of the Toad in the Hole, which boasts eggs from Copia Farm, Applewood smoked bacon, fingerling potatoes, stout cheese sauce and brioche. It's perfection — and it pairs very well with a beermosa!

Enjoy your meal!
